Lee Bailes

Biographical Info

Lee Bailes is a screenwriter and independent filmmaker living in Brighton, UK. Inspired by his intern work with an independent production company and exposure to the RAINDANCE philosophy, he has since written 6 short features and 3 feature films to date, is currently in pre production on his first short SEPULTURE and trying to raise financing for his first feature.

He started The RUMOUR MACHINE as a vehicle to practice web design and share his geeky love of film gossip and reviews with friends, and had to adapt the site, helping it grow, when other people started surfing in. Somehow he finds the time to watch at least two films a day and has contributed to UNRATED MAGAZINE and the BAD MOVIE WEBSITE, amongst others.

The many films he loves to watch again and again, - from amongst his vast eclectic collection - are: NEAR DARK, MAN BITES DOG, RESERVOIR DOGS, SUSPIRIA, ONE ARMED BOXER II, DEMONS, THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, AMERICAN MOVIE, THE EVIL DEAD, ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13.
